Christopher Stone
Project Manager

Chris Stone has been with RMTAAC since 2000. While at RMTAAC, Chris has developed an outline of key initiatives to facilitate U.S manufacturers' growth and profitability:

  • Focus of limited resources on most appropriate market(s)
  • Strategic investment in information systems
  • Ongoing investment in employee development and training
  • Combining manufacturing with a service component to achieve higher margins and build closer customer relationships
  • Change is always necessary; ownership should constantly monitor threats to current business model
  • Incremental initiatives are more likely to succeed than higher risk, long-shot, projects
Chris starts each evaluation of a manufacturer by benchmarking its financial performance versus its competition. He also reviews the company's management team and operations to identify opportunities for improvement, seeking to identify the key issues facing each company and how RMTAAC can help address these issues within the scope of the TAA program. In addition to his role as a management consultant, Chris has also led a wide range of projects redeveloping information systems for clients and has helped many companies develop and refine the use of internet technology in their marketing initiatives.

Chris received an MBA from the University of Colorado in 2002 and came to Colorado after receiving a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. His experience includes electronics industry consulting and forecasting, corporate business-to-business sales, and environmental and medical equipment safety consulting. Early in his career he spent two years as a production and research technician at a Golden, Colorado high-tech manufacturing company. stone@rmtaac.org
